Today we are going to make Cabbage Namkeen Dumplings. This is very easy to make and very yummy to eat. Some people even I too do not like to eat Turrai, or some children do not like to eat other green vegetables like bottle guard, turrai, cabbage, cauliflower etc, so simply use any of these vegetables instead of cabbage n see magic how everyone grabs these small steamed dumplings.
So lets Start
Ingredients ::
Cabbage - 1 cup finely chopped
Gram flour - 1 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp.
salt - as per taste
Red chili powder - as per taste'
Heeng powder - half tea spoon
Water - as required + 2 cup for steaming
Mustard seeds - half tea spoon
Ajwain - 1 tea spoon
Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Recipe :
First take mixing bowl, add cabbage, gram flour, 1 tbsp oil, salt, ajwain, red chili powder, heeng mix all, if batter to much dry sprinkle water to it or add 2 tea spoon water as we need little bit sticky thick side batter.
Now take a steamer, add 2 cups water to it, take a large momos strainer, grease it now make small any shape portions from batter with the help of hands or small spoon and place it on strainer. Place strainer on steamer and cover it with lid. Switch on gas at high flame and steam it for about 12 to 15 minutes. Switch OFF the gas. keep aside to cool down. Now take a pan on medium flame, add 1 tbsp oil, after oil heats add mustard seeds, add all steamed cabbage dumplings to it, can add more red chili, mix it. Switch OFF the gas, garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
